Why America is blowing up one person at a time thanks to the Texas Unemployment System and others
I wasn’t going to put this on here because it is personal and my problem.
But then I got to thinking, the reason the people with jobs and our representatives don’t understand what is going on here in America is because they are insulated by layers and layers of bureaucracy, so I decided to put it on here after all.
I live as cheaply as I possibly can because I have no alternative.
Sure I could cut out the 6 pack that helps me to destress in the evenings.
This week I have the following essential bills:
150 electricity
184 car payment
162 car insurance
120 unemployment reimbursement
116 child support
There are others, but these absolutely have to be paid.
As a matter of fact, I signed back up for unemployment two weeks ago just so I could keep the car incase that contract ever got going again.
Now according to the unemployment office, they over paid me the last timeto the tune of 1,568.00 and they wanted it repaid in monthly payments of 120.00
I didn’t argue because I was appreciative and I have kept my end of the deal by mailing in a monthly payment of 120.00 on 7 October 2009.
The next payment of 120.00 will be due on 16 Nov 2009 and the day is the 9th and since I get my unemployment check on the 10th, I’ve even got that covered, so I think we will make it.
They authorize payment on monday the 9th of november so I log in to verify that I will have the funds to pay these bills tomorrow and I find this

I have no idea what I’m going to do, but I will figure out something.
Whats even worse is because they only took out the full unemployment check minus the 50 dollars that the federal government gave me, that means there is still a balance to be paid, so they will take all of the next check in two weeks which means I will be without income, or a job for a month.
And because the bills havent been paid for a month, this means next month I will owe two months worth of bills.
I can hear you now.
Go find a job.
Believe me, I try daily.
Stuff like this is happening to good people across America every day and it amazes me that more people haven’t lost it.
For myself, I will be ok.
Not sure how, but I will make it.
But I do want you to think about two things
- Pray for those that aren’t as fortunate as I am
- Do you really want a government like this running your medical plan with their heavy hand, complete autonomy and absolutely zero accountability?
