How low will they stoop too in their efforts to mislead the sheep of America?

Here is an interesting one.
A reader contacted me a few days ago saying that I had responded to an email from him that he had never sent.
I’m saying to my self, what in the hell is this about, so I decided to contact him and get his side of the story.
I removed his private info to protect his identify.
Apparently he received this email from Senator Cornyns office

The Honorable John Cornyn
United States Senate
517 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510-4302Re: A Government Health Plan Takes Away My Choice
Dear Senator Cornyn:
As your constituent, I am writing to request that you oppose a new government plan proposed by some in Congress. I am concerned that a government plan would quickly become the only option for health coverage.
Over 160 million Americans like me rely on employer-provided health insurance, and creation of a new government plan would cause me to lose my coverage. I recently read about a new study that found over 100 million Americans would be shifted into the government plan. Private premiums would go through the roof because of government cost-shifting. If private health insurance becomes unaffordable for most Americans, the end result is actually less choice in coverage.
Please vote to let me keep having a choice in my healthcare coverage. Oppose a government-run system. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
Jerome
Being an out of work software guy I recognize that it wouldn’t be that difficult to write a program and loop through a mailing list that you had bought and send a message to each senator showing that it came from each person on the list.
Not sure if that is what was done here, but if it is, somebody will recognize the text of the above email and I sure would like to hear from them so that we can put the name of the person stooping to this level front and center.
