But the committee’s top Republican, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, is unhappy that the committee staff had to submit 10 sets of questions to Brainard before getting complete information about the late payments.
After Brainard was nominated last spring, the Finance Committee had her fill out a routine questionnaire that asked whether she had made any late tax payments in the past 10 years. Her initial response did not include all the late payments. It did, however, acknowledge she had made late unemployment insurance payments for household employees “on a number of occasions,” the report said.
“The dollar amounts involved aren’t large compared to some other administration nominees this year, but the lack of candor, accuracy and timeliness in addressing the issues has been discouraging,” Grassley said.

While millions of people like myself suddenly finding themselves owing the IRS and other taxes that they cannot pay because they cannot find work, we have those “I’m Better then You” that want to tell us how to run our lives that could pay these taxes and choose not to do so.
It sure is amazing how the dirty laundry in this group of hypocrites is coming out.
Problem is, they are the ones that are implementing the laws and then skirting themselves thinking that our laws do not apply to them.
Only to the sheep.
I don’t know the actual total, but I believe there are 100 senators and some 400 or 500 state representatives here in America.
I would love to see each and every one of them replaced with commoners that would work to make America able to stand on its own two feet and prosperous so that Americans could continue to pursue the American dream rather then being sold down the river without a paddle to the non accountable corporations aided and abetted by the non representing representatives with the Tokyo Rose Propaganda Group cheering them on.
