Do we think anymore?
Print This Post
There are thousands of books to help you learn to think about the big picture.
Maybe even millions of them.
But when I see corporate executives destroying their country by deliberately putting 20% of our peopleĀ out of work by sending their jobs offshore, I have to wonder if they think about the big picture.
But when I see state governments whose leadership their people depend on to make the right decisions reach a point where the money necessary to run their state is .88% of our total GDP and the combined total for all 50 states works out to 44% of this same GDP and the combined Federal Budget and All State Budgets combined work out to 60.1% of the total GDP I have to wonder if they think about the big picture.
And when I see that the total combined income of all employees and businesses as shown in the 2008 IRS databook was 18% of this total GDP I have to wonder if they think about the big picture.
Granted, this is not my place to bring up these items but I do not see any leaders emerging.
- Not in congress
- Not in the state governments
- Not in the corporate world
- and especially not in the Media
Speaking of the Media, they do their best to demonize anybody that attempts to bring sanity to the situation by calling them protectionists and automatically disqualifying anything, no matter how pertinent it might be.
Well, Damn your protectionist cry’s because we are going to discuss the things that need to be discussed and if you in the media are not willing to be part of the solution then you’re damned sure part of the problem.
According to the research I did here, the foreign trade that the media covets only amounts to a total of negative 669 Billion dollars which is a mere pittance of the total GDP.
Now if you go to the Bureau of Economic Analysis and download their Sep 09 GDP analysis spreadsheet, you will see the following figures
Total Exports of $1.826 Trillion Dollars (that negative number above is the difference between the imports and exports and why they show it that way is beyond me as we are only interested in what we are receiving in revenue which is the total exports column)
So basically our media and our corporate executives are willing and able to put the American citizen completely out of work for this tiny sliver of a piece of the pie
See that Purplish/Blue slice there Mr. Media?
The one that says 11%
That is the total exports that you say are so important to the American economy.
Are you sure you want to put that big chunk of the pie, meaning the American Consumer out of work?
If so, your sales will look go from a total of:
- 10057.9 Personal Consumption
- 1993.5 Private Investment
- 2882.4 Government Consumption
- 1826.6 Sold to other countries
- 16,760.4 total revenue
To this:
- 1993.5 Private Investment
- 2882.4 Government Consumption
- 1826.6 Sales to other countries
- 6,702.5 Total Revenue
Are you sure that you want to cut Americas total revenue by 60%?
If so, it is no wonder that we are bailing out failures, but what will you do when there is no more money to bail you out?
Think about it is all that I’m asking.
Because you too will come to the same conclusions if you will analyze the facts.
And if you’ve surrounded yourself with “yes” men where you can’t get an honest answer anymore, then call me because I’m available for $1,000 per day plus expenses with a 1 month minimum and I will give you the answers that you may not want to hear after carefully evaluating the facts.
