What really happened to the Economy?
For several years now I’ve listened to economists tell everybody that sub prime mortgages were the straw that broke the camels back.
Problem is, they all seem to work for corporate America and if that is the case, I’m pretty sure that they are not going to bite the hand that feeds them.
So I’ve done my own research and listened to the skeptics that say I don’t have a degree in economics, so I can’t do that.
Well to that, I say BS.
A person can do anything that they want to if they can think and reason things out.
Here is what I think really happened:
- If you’ve ever watched the video that CNBC put together showing how the traders of Enron deliberately caused the rolling blackouts in California with no remorse or concern, then you will realize that this same level of greed and lack of concern for their own country is currently operating in the executive offices of most corporations in America, and especially in the very large banking and Wall Street industries.
- These people have been, slowly at first, but much more frequently in the 2002 – current period, sending more and more jobs offshore to meet the whisper numbers on Wall Street so that they can make their bonuses, and again with no remorse, or even concern that they are jeopardizing the future of their own country.
- Many people, myself included were barely making our payments, but we were making them just as long as our work continued and these were the sub prime mortgages that the experts talk about.
- When our jobs disappeared and the only work we could find paid 30,000 or less when we were making well over 70,000, that did three things:
- caused us to default on our subprime mortgage in mass, which caused these Wall Street types to show a loss on their financials which started the dam breaking that had been functioning ok.
- Caused our towns, counties, states and eventually our federal government to begin to go broke, because in the example that I listed above, they took an immediate decrease of tax revenue of fifty percent from one person. Imagine if that were 30 million people, which I believe it was.
- Caused our retailers to begin to go bankrupt, because they also immediately took a very large cut in sales revenue because the people could no longer buy what they had before
There are several key areas that we try to focus on at this site, and they are:
- The health care debate
- My analysis of the GDP
- My analysis of Wages
If you will look at those areas in the category selection area on the right hand side of your screen, you will see much more detailed information then I can give you on this page.
For what its worth, I believe that right now we are in the eye of the hurricane and it is going to get worse because we continue to send more and more jobs offshore at a faster pace and we continue to import more H-1B’s
There are common sense items that we can put in place that will allow us to monitor and track the effect of sending our jobs offshore, but as of yet, I have been unable to get anybody to listen and I believe this is because they don’t want to realize how bad it really is.
- Mandate that all publicly traded corporations list on their quarterly and annual financial statements the quantity of jobs and the dollar amount paid for those jobs for all types of labor, meaning permanent, contract, temporary and consultant fees and have them go back to the year 2000 and every subsequent year and show these amounts broken down by Conus (in the continental united states) and OCONUS (outside the continental united states)
This way we will be able to gauge the effects of offshoring and see for ourselves if this is not the real reason why the economy crashed here in American in 2008 and why it is getting worse instead of better.
Of course, this would happen if the mainstream media would start exposing the facts that we do not track this type of information and the fact that the unemployment numbers are meaningless because they are based on a phone sampling system rather then accurate, verifiable data from each of the states unemployment centers.
Speaking of that, where is the media and why are they no longer exposing things?
Have they joined the Tokyo Rose Propaganda system?
