With no clear direction in the last week and unable to get out of the following options, I have decided to preserve cash and wait for a definitive direction that can make us some money.

We are still up about 10% on our money from when we started so I’m comfortable with where we are at, but to prevent the loss of about 29,000 in trading capital that occurred at options expiration this week and because I’m unable to monitor this full time, I will start using stops to get me out where I want to get out at should the market direction turn against me.

What a week.
I was unable to monitor the market like I prefer to do which is one of the reasons I believe that a person needs to be totally free to monitor the market during trading hours.

These are the trades that were closed during this week

Your account value at the end of the week would have been:
$ 228,184.84

Your account value as of last week was $ 235,873.92

The difference is in the options that are still currently held and while I will be doing everything I can to get out of them before the expiration date next friday, I do not believe that will be possible at this time.

We did have a profitable week as you would have made 8,936.22 as I remained mostly in cash this week because of the uncertainty of the market the last few days.

After subtracting my commission of $ 1,787.24, you would have had a net profit of $ 7,148.97 for the week.

One reason you need to be on your toes is this trade that I entered into today and got out a few minutes later.

I noticed ATRI using tc2000 and I liked what I saw, so I bought 1000 shares at 119.89
When I went to enter it into my real time portfolio, I noticed that there was zero volume even though the market had been open for an hour, so I searched the news to find out why it was not trading.

When I did not find anything, I immediately closed the position because the BID price was trending down.

Even though no shares had changed hands, this trade ended up costing me about 4,300 dollars, so be on your toes, and before you place a trade, watch the stock to make sure it actually is trading and that it hasnt been halted for some reason or other.

Your account value at the end of the week would have been:
$ 235,873.92

Your account value as of last week was $ 220,082.72

This would have made you a gross profit of: $ 15,791.20
After paying my commission of $ 3,158.24, you would have made $ 12,632.96 for the week before taxes

I believe that I could have carried GOOG and ICE over into another week or two, but the goal is to consistently make about 10% on your investment each week if possible, so I saw an opportunity to do so and took it.
